The story follows the adventures of a ninja named Naruto, a name Jiraiya came up with while eating ramen. In the back of the book, Jiraiya’s biography indirectly mentions Nagato inspired him to write the story. Minato Namikaze enjoyed it, however, enough to name his then-unborn son after the character of Naruto in the story, in the hopes that his son would grow up to be just like the protagonist. It sold poorly nobody attended Jiraiya’s book signing. The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi was Jiraiya’s first book, written while training the Ame Orphans. This is why I chose Jiraiya as my favourite sensei, :).Naruto Shippūden: UNSG anime cutscenes Appears in Jiraiya went through a lot, he was a mentor to some great shinobi, from Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko, to Minato, the fourth hokage, and Naruto, tried to fight for peace, helped Naruto to control the seal on Kurama, and fought to protect the future by relaying his final message in his battle against Pain. The words Naruto spoke and Jiraiya’s book caused Nagato himself to turn against the Akatsuki and restored the lives of all those he killed when he attacked Konoha, in exchange for his own life. In the process, Naruto revealed the book Jiraiya wrote. After Pain destroyed Konoha and Naruto fought and confronted him, Pain revealed himself to be Nagato and told Naruto of the suffering he, Konan, and Yahiko had to go through. It bound Nagato’s and Naruto’s fates together. Minato then told Jiraiya that Kushina was pregnant and said that they wanted to name their baby, Naruto, after the main character of the book, as they hoped that their baby could grow up to be a great shinobi as told in Jiraiya’s book. Even though his first book failed to be a success, Minato thought it was excellent. He also wrote his first book, The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi, that was inspired by Nagato. Jiraiya also mentored the fourth hokage, Minato, Naruto’s father, and Naruto himself, bestowing on Naruto his dream to bring an end to the hatred in the shinobi world. In his early life, Jiraiya was given a prophesy by the Great Toad Sage that he would one day teach a student that would either save or destroy the world. When it was decoded later on back at Konoha, it helped to work out that 'the real one wasn’t among them’, meaning Pain was being controlled, and he was, by Nagato. Through the fight, even though he was at death’s door, he wrote a coded message on one of the Two Great Toad Sage’s back.

It was a trip down memory lane for Jiraiya, but Pain and Konan were set to fight Jiraiya as they were part of the Akatsuki.

He came into contact with Pain, in Yahiko’s form and Konan. Through his time with them, he noticed that Nagato possessed the Rinnegan, and encouraged him to fight for what he wanted to protect.ĭuring his mission to scout out Amegakure in search for the leader of the Akatsuki, little did Jiraiya know what would happen next. He also taught Naruto the Rasengan.ĭespite his involvement in the ninja war, he took his time out to teach the Amegakure ophans, Nagato, Konan, Yahiko as they wanted to become strong to protect themselves. The name of the character was Naruto, but it was based on the Amegakure ophan, Nagato. Through one of his books, he wrote the story about a ninja fighting for peace, and never giving up. Jiraiya mentored the fourth hokage, Minato, the Amegakure ophans, Nagato, Konan, Yahiko, and of course, the main character, Naruto.
